About: For its 160th anniversary, Louis Vuitton asked six artists for their interpretation of the logo bag. One of them was industrial designer Marc Newson. Because he doesn't like bags, he designed a backpack. Louis Vuitton gave him free rein with this project, and so he began by concentrating all the personal experiences he had gained over the years as a backpack owner. "I wanted to focus on the features I love and try to incorporate them into the piece." It was important to him that the backpack wouldn't fall over when put down. In addition to the Monogram canvas, he chose to use furry sheepskin: " It's cozy and warm and comes in bright colors. Plus, it's durable and acts like a pillow. If I want, I can take the backpack off and take a nap."
