The Lady Dior bag was originally designed in 1995 under the name Chouchou . It became famous when Bernadette Chirac presented it to Diana, Princess of Wales, during a visit to Paris. Diana carried it in public on several occasions, and shortly afterward, the bag sold out worldwide. The House of Dior renamed the bag in her honor.
