About: 1923 wurde Hermès beauftragt, ein Hundehalsband eines Kunden zu entwerfen. Das Original Halsband gab für spätere Entwürfe den Ton an; der Ring für die Leine sowie die Pyramidenförmigen Nieten. Die massgefertigte Kreation erregte in kürzester Zeit grosses Ansehen und bald darauf bat man die Designerin Marie Gerber darum, das ikonische Halsband zu Gürteln, Armbändern und anderen Schmuckstücken umzugestalten. Der Hermès Gürtel "Collier de Chien" kam 1927 auf den Markt und bald darauf das Armband und der Ring. Bis heute gehören die CDC's zu den Highlights des Hauses.
