About: The two-letter data code? Is this bag even real? Yes that is her! Rarely, but unfortunately, has there been an error at Hermès in the past. The two most notable issues are the 2011 double-blind mark and the 2014 R mark.
The 2011 double-blind mark shows two letters in a square, a J and an O, when it should really only be an O. The 2014 R brand is sometimes depicted in a square, sometimes not.

The history of Evelyn goes back 42 years. Evelyne Bertrand, head of the Hermès equestrian department, designed her eponymous bag in 1978 to hold a groom's tools. It perforated one side to allow brushes and sponges to dry on the go. Although the perforated side is meant to be worn on the body, the H logo has become a coveted design element.
