The Constance bag was designed in 1959 by Hermès designer Catherine Chaillet while she was pregnant. She completed the design at the same time her daughter was born and named the bag after her: Constance. Hermès has since described the Constance bag as a piece to be passed down from mother to daughter; a philosophy that is palpable in every seam of this bag. Along with the Birkin and the Kelly, the Constance belongs to the so-called Holy Trinity of the house, the three most coveted models that have never lost their relevance over generations. 

The Mini 18 bag in Swift leather impresses with its compact size of 18 cm, which makes it the most versatile of all Constance sizes. The characteristic, spring-loaded H clasp in gold tone opens to a lambskin-lined interior with two slip pockets. The Swift leather is characterized by its smooth, matte surface and pleasant softness. It absorbs colors particularly intensely, which is immediately apparent in the deep, rich Vert Cypress color. This cool, forest green tone is one of the rarer Hermès colors and is accordingly sought after on the secondary market.
