The Chanel 19 Treasure is one of the most significant pieces in the house's recent history: it was the last major bag design that Karl Lagerfeld created together with Virginie Viard, his long-time right-hand woman and current Creative Director, for the Fall/Winter 2019 collection. Lagerfeld passed away in February 2019, a month before the Treasure was presented on the emotional runway. The name follows the house's tradition of numbering significant designs: just as the legendary 2.55 was named after its debut date in February 1955, the 19 stands for the year of its creation and also refers to Coco Chanel's birthday on August 19th.

This Treasure in warm caramel is crafted from soft calfskin and features the characteristic, large-format diamond quilting and the oversized, double CC turn-lock closure. Particularly striking is the tricolor chain in silver, antique gold, and ruthenium, a distinguishing feature that sets this Treasure apart from all other Chanel models. Thanks to its soft, slightly flared silhouette, it wears significantly more casually than the Classic Flap, without losing its unmistakable Chanel character. The size offers enough space for all daily essentials, whether carried as a shoulder, crossbody, or handbag.
