This CHANEL cropped double-breasted jacket is from the Fall/Winter 2019 Ready-to-Wear collection, the final Ready-to-Wear collection by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel. It was presented at the Grand Palais against a snowy alpine backdrop, combining classic Chanel elements with winter tailoring. Tweed played a central role, appearing in striking jackets and coats, among other pieces.
With this treasure, black tweed meets a cropped, double-breasted silhouette. This combination is characteristic of Lagerfeld’s approach to the maison's heritage. He consistently took classic Chanel tweed and altered its proportions and styling without ever losing its recognizable appeal.
