About: The Chanel Boy was first presented by then-Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld in the house's Fall/Winter 2011 collection. Named after Coco Chanel's first love, Arthur Edward "Boy" Capel, an English aristocrat and accomplished polo player, it was inspired by a cartridge case made for hunters . The Boy Bag was aimed at a younger generation of fashionistas: an androgynous style celebrating Coco Chanel's groundbreaking masculine-feminine aesthetic .
