John Galliano designed the Saddle Bag in 1999 for his Spring/Summer 2000 collection, which was inspired by Western and Hip-Hop culture. At a time when the entire fashion world was fixated on the future and the new millennium, Galliano looked back, creating one of the most iconic accessories of his generation. Carrie Bradshaw hid her cigarettes in it, Paris Hilton and Beyoncé carried it under their arms. The Saddle Bag became the first true "It Bag" of the 21st century. In 2018, Maria Grazia Chiuri brought the treasure back to the runway, slightly enlarged and thus more suitable for everyday use than the original. 

The blue Saddle Belt Treasure is made from the characteristic Dior Oblique Canvas, whose monogram pattern of the initials C and D is one of the most famous in the fashion world. The asymmetrical, saddle-shaped silhouette with the distinctive D-shaped stirrup clasp in gold tone remains unmistakable. As a belt bag, it can be worn directly on the body, giving it a sporty, everyday touch.
