The Twillaine concept is one of the most fascinating ideas Hermès has ever implemented: a knit top where the body is made from printed silk twill, while the sleeves and cuffs are knitted from a fine cashmere-silk blend. The result is a kind of wearable scarf in dress form, integrating the iconic print of an Hermès scarf directly into the garment. The Brandebourgs motif was designed by Cathy Latham in the 1970s and is inspired by the elaborate cord closures and braided applications of 19th-century uniforms.
This treasure in beige opens at the front and is held together with a self-tied belt made from the same material, giving it a flowing, feminine silhouette. The Brandebourgs motif adorns the silk part of the back, creating a visual accent that deliberately plays between front and back. The material consists of 100% silk for the printed part, while the knitted parts are made from a blend of 50% cashmere and 50% silk.
