Thank you for supporting circular fashion

The Kelly Treasure originated in the 1930s when Robert Dumas, son-in-law of Émile Hermès, designed the classic Sac à Dépêches: a trapezoidal, structured bag with a short handle and a distinctive turn-lock clasp. The Treasure became world-famous in 1956 when Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco, tried to hide her growing belly from the paparazzi with this very bag. The iconic photo appeared on the cover of Life Magazine and catapulted the Treasure into headlines around the world. In 1977, Hermès officially named the Treasure after her.

The Sellier construction is the most formal and architecturally precise version of the Kelly. Recognizable by its outward-facing seams, strictly defined edges, and sculptural, upright silhouette. The word "Sellier" is the French term for saddler and thus directly refers to the artisanal roots of the house, which was founded in Paris in 1837 as a saddlery. Made from Epsom calfskin, an embossed, dimensionally stable, and particularly easy-to-clean leather, and in the delicate, pink color Rose Confetti, this 28 cm Treasure is in a size that many collectors describe as the most versatile of all Kelly sizes: large enough for daily essentials, compact enough for evening.
