This top was created by transforming eight original Hermès silk ties made from 100% silk. The classic menswear accessories were fully deconstructed and redesigned into a new knot top.
For its construction, all ties were taken apart and the inner lining and interlinings were removed, so that only the silk covers were processed further. Subsequently, the individual elements were turned into narrow, round ribbons and precisely reassembled. The individual parts are connected by a button construction, which gives the piece its modular structure.
Thanks to its flexible construction, the design adapts to different body shapes and allows for size-independent wear. At the same time, the piece offers various styling options. It can be worn as a top, as a belt ornament around the waist, or as a necklace or accessory.
