This jumpsuit was created from the complete transformation of an Hermès trench coat made of lightly coated, 100% silk. The trench coat was completely disassembled, all seams were opened, and the individual pattern pieces were reassembled to create a completely new design.
The construction was similar to a puzzle: existing elements were precisely repositioned and integrated, so that the original structure of the trench coat was transformed into a modern ready-to-wear piece.
As the original trench coat had stains in the hem area, the cut was adjusted to avoid the affected material areas. This way, the high-quality Hermès silk fabric could be preserved and reused as much as possible despite existing imperfections.
The original lining of the trench coat was also fully integrated and used as the lining for the jumpsuit. In addition, the material was used in functional details such as small tabs and strap elements at various points on the jumpsuit.
Small adjustments to size and length are included in the price.
